Activities going on in Raider Nation this week!
We had a great day at SCBL Music Festival last week which is our preparation for regional solos and state large group festivals next month. Here are our results on a 1-5 scale, 3 being average and 1 being the highest. Thank you so much for supporting our department and our kids. Congratulations on your hard work Raiders!

It was a great day of lifting at Conway Springs today.
Braden was 1st overall for his weight class and won the lightweight power rating award. He also set the meet record for squat at 465 pounds.
Darren took 2nd overall for his weight class.
Jackson took 3rd overall in his weight class.
Everyone hit at least one personal best in something today. It was a very good showing by the Central Raiders today!
Powerlifting is off and going this morning at Conway Springs.
Congratulations to Emily, Ben, Nacona, and Jace for making the all league basketball teams.
The JH wrestling team finished their season tonight at West Elk. The kids wrestled hard and got lots of wins. Good job Raiders!
Mr Groene's Agriscience class made good use of the nice weather learning about soil texture.

JH Wrestling competed at Douglass yesterday and Chase County today. The following students placed today - Hunter Henderson 2nd, Treighton Hafenstein 3rd, Kaden Underwood 3rd, Austin Dailey 1st, Sierra Eastman 2nd, Jessilyn Parsons 1st, and Lily Pankratz 2nd. Great job Raiders!!
The high school boys basketball team ended their season in a sub-state post season game against Norwich at Oxford this evening. Great job this season Raiders, we are proud of you!!
Good luck the HS boys BB team as they take on Norwich in the SubState semi finals. The game is at Oxford and tip off is at 6:00pm. Admission will be charged to everyone as this is a KSHSAA postseason event. Adults are $8 and student are $6. Come out and pack the gym to cheer on the Raiders!
We have a roller-skating unit approaching (March 20-23) right after spring break for elementary students! I've sent home permission slips/waivers with your student to get signed, if you're willing! I would like these ASAP as I need to submit our skate sizes to our rental company. If you haven't seen a permission slip/waiver with your student, please reach out to me (jjones@usd462.org) so I can send you a copy. We would love for your child to join us!

The middle school and 6th grade students were invited to take part in the Caldwell Math Relays on February 17th. They took home 8 medals! Next week on March 7th they will travel to Argonia for the SCBL middle school math relays to compete in their final math competition this year. Wish them luck!
